Innjoo F2 Review, Price and Specs.

First thought that came to mind as I received the InnJoo F2 tablet package was that I had been duped, thanks to how light the box was. The device itself feels a lot lighter than all the other 10-inch tablets I have had my hands on and the weight strikes you as soon as you pick it up.

Design and Hardware

Build materials and the finish are the next things you will notice, and in that regard, it is safe to say that Innjoo did a decent job. The device like most tablets features the display nested in a bezel –which in this case is rather large by 2015 standards, but not something that should bother you much. A camera hole, interrupts the pretty plain topside of the device, while the bottom is gently punctuated by the “INNJOO” branding. Around the back, there is a plastic cover featuring a studded design that makes the device unlikely to slip-off from your hands…even when your palms are sweaty.

The Innjoo F2 is basically an all-plastic affair and comes in variants of white and black. The power and volume buttons are located at the top right side of the device for easy control while the 3.55mm audio jack and charging port are located at the top which was nice as it doesn’t constitute a nuisance when operating the device. It comes running Android 4.4 Kitkat on a 1.3GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM and has a rather tiny 8GB ROM built-in as storage, expandable to 32GB via microUSB. At first finding the SIM compartment was a bit of puzzle as it felt as if there was no opening, but after a few seconds of frantic searching, there it was at the top right edge of the device –a nice, clean cut opening. The Innjoo F2 is Dual-sim capable and has the ability to make and receive calls, but I can’t tell you much more about that, seeing as I am not trying to be the next candidate to break the internet with a viral meme.

Display

The Innjoo F2 tablet, offers a 10.1-inch capacitive touch screen with a resolution of 1024 × 600 pixels (118 ppi). In plain English, the display is nothing to write home about. The first time I powered the device on, I couldn’t help but notice how poor the picture quality was on the 10.1-inch screen, Installing a launcher to see if I could con my eyes into believing it was better didn’t work, however, considering the device’s price, I guess you get what you pay for.

Camera

This device offers a 0.3-megapixel front facing camera for selfies and video calls and a 2-megapixel camera with LED flash at the rear. Again, both cameras are nothing to write home about (beginning to look like we won’t be writing home today) but you know what? I am no fan of people who carry 10-inch tablets around taking photos –especially at weddings (argggh!) So maybe it’s a good thing that shots with this tablet will break your heart.
